‘Quiz’ UK and Ireland tour postponed due to coronavirus outbreak

The UK and Ireland tour of James Graham’s play Quiz has been postponed as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it has been confirmed.

The drama about the ‘coughing major’ scandal, which saw a trio including Charles and Diana Ingram face accusations of cheating on Who Wants to Be A Millionaire in 2001, was due to travel the country in the autumn.

A three-part TV adaptation of the stage show, starring Matthew Macfadyen, Michael Sheen and Helen McCrory, concluded on ITV on Wednesday evening.

The theatre production first performed at the Chichester Festival Theatre in 2017, before transferring to the Noël Coward Theatre on the West End a year later.

The show was then scheduled to tour the country from August, opening in Bromley before performing in locations such as Leicester, Newcastle, Dublin, Cardiff and Edinburgh.
